The Child and Youth Safe Framework came into effect 1 January 2024. Most organisations that provide services to children and young people are covered by the Framework.
All organisations in Tasmania should implement the Child and Youth Framework where they interact with children and young people. Keeping children and young people safe in our community should be a priority for all.
The Framework is about creating a culture where children and young people feel safe and their opinions are valued and their wellbeing promoted.
If you would like to raise a concern about a person or service working with children and young people, please complete the form below and an OIR officer will be in contact with you.
Supporting the safety of children and young people is our greatest priority. In some circumstances, the OIR will be required to share information with other agencies such as the police.
